Custom-Made Sheet Metal & Metal Plate Enclosures

Custom-Made Sheet Metal Enclosure Specifications

Sizes

Red container with a white background and arrows along the length, width, and height axes.

Sizes range from 6" square to 12 feet wide x 12 feet high x 50 feet long.

Insulation

Panels on the inside of an enclosure that are made with sound-insulating properties.

Mobile and stationary control or command centers can include sound attenuation for noise reduction, insulated walls, floors, and ceilings with climate controls for heating and cooling.

Access & Entry

Doors on a large, purple container made out of sheet metal and metal plate.

Single or double doors are provided for areas requiring frequent access. Removable panels are used for small areas or those areas requiring infrequent accessibility. We offer many different choices when it comes to latches, locks, handles, hinges, and drawer slides.

Louvers

Large, blue enclosure with several doors outfitted with louvers for airflow.

Fixed or motorized louvers are available to provide airflow for equipment requiring air for combustion or cooling.  In locations where noise is a problem, we provide many different sound attenuating materials and baffles for noise reduction.

Materials & Construction

Interior structure of a metal enclosure showing the meeting point of the wall and ceiling.

Available material choices are carbon steel, galvanized, galvanneal, 304 or 316 stainless steel, or 5052 or 6061 aluminum.  The choice is largely dependent on the environment the equipment will be used in. The material thickness will be dependent on the enclosure or cabinet size and the equipment or components it will need to support. Large enclosures or rooms may require structural framing, subframes, and skids.

Finishes

Top corner of an enclosure painted with a bright red finish.

Finishes include powder coat or wet spray painted.  Aluminum and Stainless Steel enclosures, cabinets, and consoles can be unfinished, powder coated, or wet spray painted. Finish options are dependent on the operating environment and the customers' appearance preferences.

Assembly

Assembler installing sound-proofing foam on a white custom metal enclosure frame.

The methods and complexity of assembly vary by enclosure size. Small enclosures, cabinets, and control stands typically only require welding. Larger enclosures, command centers, and control rooms, however, normally require both welding and fastening.

Shipping Options

White enclosure assemblies strapped down to a trailer bed on the back of a semi-truck.

Large enclosures can be shipped completely assembled and lifted into position with a crane or bolted together at the job site.
